Apple Messages for Business

Connect customer-initiated Apple Messages for Business conversations to an agent.

Apple Messages for Business conversations begin when a customer messages your business. Keiki assigns a channel to your organization, and you can then connect that channel to an agent from the agent's Channels settings.

If no Apple Messages for Business channel is available yet, choose Request access on the Apple Messages for Business row. Keiki reviews the request and assigns a channel to your organization.

Each Apple Messages for Business row on the Channels page and in the agent's Channels settings has Open, which starts a conversation with your business in Messages, and Copy link, which copies the same link:

plaintext
https://bcrw.apple.com/urn:biz:<business-id>

Put the link on your website, in emails, or behind a QR code. Apple also accepts body (prefilled message text), biz-intent-id and biz-group-id query parameters, so you can build your own variants, for example https://bcrw.apple.com/urn:biz:<business-id>?body=Track%20my%20order.

What's supported

The channel supports customer-initiated conversations, plain-text replies, and media attachments. Replies are plain text rather than Markdown. Reactions, contact cards, and other rich actions are not available.

Choices and times

On Apple Messages for Business, use ask_question for a native choice picker and offer_times for a native time picker. The customer's selection arrives as their next message; a time selection is an ISO start time. Offering times does not book an appointment: end the turn after offering, then book using your own tools if appropriate.
